The traveling singer-songwriter speaks to contemporaries and legends in his new country music show on YouTube.
Armed with an adventurous spirit, a guitar, and a microphone, Tyller Gummersall began 2019 by taking his conversational skills and performing prowess down many Western roads. Between shows and during stops along the way, Gummersall collected audio and video of his in-depth conversations with other artists — about music, writing, and life in general.
Gummersall describes his visits with musical road warriors and living legends thusly: “We would talk, play some music and I would conduct a simple interview. … I love talking with fellow artists about their craft.”And, like we said, there’s not just talking, but a little singing and picking as well. C&I is proud to help the budding podcast host bring the first season of his new show to you. It’s the perfect companion for a reflective morning or an afternoon wind-down. You’ll get insight from some fascinating guests, many of whom have already inspired you in your life with their music and lyrics. All you need to enjoy these episodes of Tales From the Trail is access to YouTube. Tales From the Trail: Season 2
BY C&I EDITORSMARCH 2, 2020
The artist is back with a second season of his YouTube show in which he sits down with country music icons across all generations.
Last summer, we shared the debut season of Tales From the Trail, a podcast created and hosted by country singer-songwriter Tyller Gummersall. The eight-episode season featured guests Charlie Daniels, Jim Lauderdale, Riders in the Sky, and several more.
Now, after months of performing, Tyller’s back with a brand new season! To kick off the latest installment of the traveling audio show, Tyller shot the breeze with John Gunn, the lifetime director of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (which officially begins Tuesday, March 3). The episodes of Season 2 will be released over time, so be sure to check back regularly for the latest! Another notable guest who will make an appearance is fellow artist Corb Lund, who is releasing a new album in April. Lund chatted with Tyller in the historic Coupland Dancehall in Texas.
